About Aquastim Junior Sponsorship Programme – Empowering the Next Generation of Anglers
Building the Future of Angling

Empowering Juniors, Backed by the Best

Aquastim’s Junior Sponsorship Programme is more than just a competition — it’s a movement to support the next generation of talented, independent anglers. We’re here to champion young people who live and breathe fishing, giving them access to professional-level gear, guidance, and recognition. Through the support of leading brands and a structure that rewards real skill and self-reliance, we’re creating opportunities for juniors to grow, compete, and be seen. From the first peg draw to the final whistle, we’re helping young anglers step up, take charge, and shape the future of the sport — one cast at a time.

Why We Created the Aquastim Junior Sponsorship

Supporting Young Talent with Real Opportunities

We launched the Aquastim Junior Sponsorship to do more than just hand out prizes — we set out to find, support, and celebrate young anglers who are serious about their craft. Our goal is to give juniors the recognition they deserve, while encouraging independence, responsibility, and skill development through real match fishing experiences.

By partnering with top brands in the industry, we’ve created a platform that rewards hard work, showcases talent, and inspires the next generation to take pride in their fishing — from the first setup to the final weigh-in.

FAQ's

  • Any junior angler under 16 who is passionate about fishing, can fish independently, and is available to attend both qualifying matches may enter. A parent or guardian must register the child through our website.

  • Juniors must be able to draw their own peg, choose their fishing position within the peg, set up their tackle, manage their bait, and fish without adult assistance throughout the match.

  • No. Part of the judging criteria is the angler’s ability to fully set up their gear themselves — including rods, rigs, bait trays, nets, and seatbox — from scratch.

  • We’re looking for juniors who can confidently fish with a variety of methods including whip, waggler, feeder, and pole. Being able to adapt your approach to conditions on the day is key.

  • Judges are assessing each junior’s independence, preparation, presentation, adaptability, and overall approach to match fishing. This includes peg management, bait control, rig choice, and etiquette.

  • While we encourage all skill levels to participate, this particular programme is designed to reward juniors who already demonstrate a high level of self-reliance. We recommend additional coaching sessions for newer anglers.

  • The top two juniors will each receive a full bait sponsorship from Aquastim, a Cresta reel worth £100, and 100 handcrafted floats from Pablo RWC. More spot prizes may be announced on the day!

  • Yes. Juniors must attend both qualifying matches to be eligible for prizes. Overall performance, improvement, and consistency across both events will be considered.
